Computer Scientists : Complain/blame about Computer Engineers (aka Hardware) when things don't work.

Computer Engineering: Complain/blame about Computer Scientists (aka Software) when things don't work.

That's the difference, if in real life at least

In my university:

Computer Engineering - design and build computers (from transistors to operating systems)

Software Engineering - design and build software systems (e.g. embedded systems, small applications, large enterprise systems, etc)

Computer Science - study theories and algorithms of computer programming (e.g. data structures, sorting, etc.)

For me theres Electric engineering, computer engineering and software engineering.

Electric makes hardware, Software makes software (obviously) and apparently computer engineering interfaces the two.

I'm going in Electric engineering specialised in micro-electronics because I want to make plans for processors (Don't know if CPU or GPU yet)

Am I right ?

CPU : Intel Core i7 3960X, Mobo : X79-UD3, Memory : 4x4GB Vengeance Black Memory 1600MHz, GPU : Asus GTX 970 Strix, Case : Switch 810 Matte Black, Storage : 256GB Samsung 830 SSD, Seagate Barracuda 1TB, PSU : Thermaltake 750W 80+ Bronze, Displays : 3x Asus 1080p Screens, Cooling : Corsair H100i, Keyboard : Logitech G710+, Mouse : Madcat Cyborg R.A.T.7, Sound : Sennheiser HD598, V-Moda Crossfade LP, Logitech Z-5500, HMD : Oculus Rift CV1

Any idea on which one you want to do based on the advice in this thread? I'm finding it really hard to chose and just applied for a conjoint in engineering and science cause why not do both? (if I get good enough grades  )

I think I'm more into Computer Sciences because i can do a specialization on computer graphics and multimedia

If I go to Computer Engineering, maybe the specialization I will choose would be CPU/GPU architechture
