Hi, I have recently been having some troubles.

It started with Dolphin emulator and I noticed its performance had been rather questionable. Jittery, stuttery and something fps lag even though it states it is running at 100% speed and at 60fps (I could tell it was definitely not).

So I ran myself a CPU benchmark to try and see how well it was performing and I came across this;

As you can see it is pathetically underperforming relative to another 3570k. I thought that perhaps it was only that result which was outperforming me, but after checking against 5 other 3570k results they all beat me by roughly the same amount. So I am rather confused as to why this is happening.

I have asked this elsewhere and they suggested it could be throttling but my CPU has never gone above 60*C while doing these.

Another Issue I have been having is that certain apps have been sticking in between my monitors, I couldn't see anything on this but here we go, Skype and GeForce Experience have gotten stuck in between my monitor while crossing over, video here: http://youtu.be/xSc-G5gAw5Y

That has really been confusing me, and it doesn't happen at all times, nor can I find a trigger for it.

Another issue I noticed today was that opening YouTube or Teamspeak would cause massive issues for games like WoW and Shadows of Mordor.

The camera would very quickly move on its own at seemingly random intervals, my guess is that the frame stutters and keeps moving the camera while stuttering making it seem to move further than intended. Video here: http://youtu.be/4q-ExS7cvfo At first I am just using WoW, and it procs the glitch at 2 points. I then open a 4k video and it procs a lot more as you can see the camera gets very jittery as I try to move it in a quick but consistent and smooth manner back and forth.

I have literally no idea what could be causing these issues. So any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

My specs are:

CPU: i5-3570k

MB  : Asus  p8z77-lx2

GPU: nvidia gtx 970

PSU: EVGA G2 750W

Well for dolphin you need to manually config some things in order to play games at a high speed. Remember a emulator isnt the real console so some games actually run pretty crappy. As for the CPU is your CPU at stock speeds ? that is probably why your rating is so slow. It could be taking other people's CPU with a higher clock speed thinking that your CPU is crappy.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

My CPU is currently at stock and I still get those glitches.

I have OCd my CPU to 4.2ghz before and it still came dead last relative to other benchmarks.

I have compared it to multiple stock 3570k's not overclocked and it was similar to the above picture.

Using default settings, Dolphin utilizes almost entirely your CPU and does use any GPU acceleration. I had this problem as well, where it would state that it was running at 60 fps but it was still jittery.

For Dolphin to utilize your GPU, you need to change some settings. I forget which ones exactly, but I remember enabling Per-Pixel Lighting is key.

Here's a screenshot of my settings: with those Dolphin runs absolutely buttery smooth.

Please. Dolphin is but a small part of this issue and I have tried various options to optimize it with little change.

Instead focus on the benchmarks and camera glitching.

Ah, okay, I'm deeply sorry for trying to help you. I only read the first sentence, and I remembered I had similar problems.

Won't happen again sir.

Nothing is wrong with your CPU. Emulators are hard to tweak to get them fully functional.

I also have that glitch from the video you shown. In my case I use a tv as monitor and is 3m aways from me so I use the text size at 150% but when is to normal there are no more glitches but i cant read that small. also that glitch comes and go is not the entire time.

The blood on to your heart start pumping faster when you notice me.

But is ok.

Judge me for my nickname, my avatar and for the low amounts of posts I have. I will keep your heart beat raised.

So then why is it underperforming consistently?

Why does a 4.5ghz OC only just score the same as other stock 3570ks?

Why am I unable to play any game while having YouTube open?

Sorry about that, it's just that 2 of you now have picked up on the Dolphin issue, and while it is a problem I don't want other people viewing the thread to think that is the main criticism when it isn't.

Also I tried your options at a lower render and it was still choppy and laggy.
