steelseries 7H, do the problems still exist?

hello there!

 

i have been considering getting a steelseries 7H headset but the only thing which has been putting me off is all these problems i hear with the cable and the earcups dying out and that.

Anyone who owns a 7H headset or has had one recently have you encountered any problems? Its the only thing putting me on the fence about this purchase.
