Hi guys, i've just started learning about pc building and plan to build a custom rig in a year or so. Currently i am using the acer predator g3620 so called "gaming pc" and want upgrade the stock gpu to something more decent. My budget is around 200 to 250 USD so i'd like to know what my options are? I mostly play games like Dota 2, CS:GO, Thief, Southpark and borderlands 2. Also i'd like to to if i'd need to upgrade the power supply in order to run the new gpu, my current psu is the stock 500w psu. I have no preference for Nvidia or AMD as long as its compatible with my motherboard. All comments are appreciated. But please no rude commend, i'm fairly new to the community. Thanks guys:)

I would either go with MSI s GeForce gtx 750 ti (160$ on amazon) or a slightly more expensive EVGA GeForce gtx 760 sc (200$)

Just get a 750ti it will work fine in most of the games on medium settings with good frames

I was also considering the same card! Thanks for the reply guys:)

From the last time i opened up my pc which was 2 days ago, i noticed that it was a non-modular psu with a couple of unconnected pcie cables(i think they are pcie but not too sure). If there's a way to distinguish these cables with other common unattached cables do let me know. Thanks bro!

This PC has a 500 watt PSU. Not sure if it has a power rating, most likely a cheap $40 PSU.

Phone: LG Nexus 5 | Headphones: Audio Technica ATH-PDG1, Shure SRH440 | Laptop: Asus 303la (i5 model, 1600x900 res) | Motorbikes: 2004 Sherco 290i, 2013 Husqvarna CR125 | Xbox one
