I'm currently usong a Tesoror Durandal keyboard with cherry mx blue. I like the keyboard but it is very loud as I hit the buttons against the backboard. I know that there are o-rings and soft landing pads that I can choose from, but I don't know which one will affect me and how. Please help! Also I live in the EU, where should i buy it from, I don't want to order it from the US because the shipping and tax is going to be more expensive than the product I am ordering. Another imortant thing, that I don't know if the oring or landing pads block the LED light, because I don't want that to happen. Please help me choose the right product :)

O-rings don't cover any backlights but I can't be certain about landing pads. They do seem to cover the whole base of the switch so it could be possible.

I actually think O-rings do a better job anyways.

I'd buy these kinda cheap ones for you to try out and see if they're what you're after: http://www.amazon.com/Rubber-O-Ring-Dampers-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B00HPQQLXM/

I just do this:

post-84472-0-68679700-1413046843_thumb.j

pieces of rubber band stuck to the switch housing.

(ignore the dust. The photo is a little overexposed and it's not as bad as it looks, although th K70 does accumulate quite a lot of it.)

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

The orings shouldn't block the light and besides you can get clear ones http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-002-TL&groupid=702&catid=2705&subcat=2455 that might dim it slightly but wont block it.

as for where to buy them I would suggest giving it a Google and finding a retailer in your area as its probably easier than paying the shipping.

I have a tesoro colada and noticed that most of the sound is not from the bottoming of the keys, but from tilting of the keys. If you slightly tilt a key by applying a very small force off the centre and release it(usually when I glide fingers over the kb), the key will jump back to its original position. Do you also notice this? Either way, pls let us know if you can fix it with the rubber o-rings.
