Ddwrt problems

Hello, I am currently installing Ddwrt on my wrt54g v6. I followed all of the steps on the Ddwrt website, but at the final part when I type the ip to set up the router, the page won't load and a message comes up and says "unable to open the search page" any ideas on how to fix it or what I did wrong?
