So to start off, I don't really know what to call it other than the cpu backplate which I think could be wrong. So my issue is, when I try to mount a cooler to the cpu, the two bottom screw holes seem to be striped at the bottom of them making the screws pop up a little. It has resulted in some super high temps and so I have just stopped completely.

I can't find someone else with a similar issue as mine because either there isn't someone or I can't figure out what to search for.

Do any of you know where to either purchase a replacement from Asus or aftermarket?

I'd suggest contacting asus for a replacement.

Pictures might help us find the issue. Post them here and if we can't help you, then contact asus with the problem.

It sounds like an error on your end though, so getting a replacement might be a bit difficut. Hopefully the Asus rep is having a good day

I haven't had problems with mine.  I'm confused by your problem.  You say that the threads are stripped, but if they're stripped, you wouldn't be able to screw into them at all.  I think we need to see pictures or get some more details before we can try to help.

Isopropyl alcohol is all you need for cleaning CPU's and motherboard components.  No, you don't need [insert cleaning solution here].  -Source: PhD Student, Chemistry
