Do you mean why do the 64 bit versions support more ram than the 32 bit versions?

Yes and no. I know that 32bit version can support 4GB Max but what's the point of a home edition of an OS supporting 128 GB of ram yes "why not" but it seams like a waste no home system could make use of that much ram so why write the program to support it

It's probably just down to lazy developers then, not capping the limit in the OS and just leaving it the same throughout all 64 bit versions.
