Build a new Rig

Hello LinusTechTips com!

I wanna build myself a new PC and wanna know your opinion.

I already own PSU(corsair RM850(for SLI in future?)) and a GPU(MSI Gaming GTX970)

I usually order my stuff here(warning german): https://www.e-tec.at/frame1/index.php but the words are almost the same in tech stuff.

I have only 2 payment option that are Direct Debit(no Credit Card if that is a false translation) and Immediate Transfer(translated by google sry^^) and I live in austria(europe), shipping is a bit expensive in my eyes.

I guess the biggest part of this com. is from america(I already saw some germans around ) so I thought I should say that.

I plan to get:

i7-5820K

Zalman H1 Case

MSI X99 S Gaming9 AC (heared dragon armor is usefull)

1 Ram Crucial Ballistix 8GB or 2x4GB depends on whats in stock(cheap ones and if DDR4 price tag drops I'm looking for a upgrade)

Corsair RM 850Watts (already own that)

GTX 970 MSI Gaming (already own that)

Corsair H100i for the top. I want to mount fans and radiator inside because of the thingies on the case.

What do you think about this guide and any suggestions for me that are avaible for me? And does this even work as I think it does?

I'm not sure about the H100i because of those spoiler things on the case. I want the watercooling, because the TPD of this CPU is very high and I will have the option to overclock later if I need this.

BTW you may notice my english is not the best(I guess so), if I do a big mistake pls post it I wanna know my mistakes.

Maybe there are better options for my new rig and I don't wanna buy this if there is better stuff almost to the same price tag.

And it may takes some time to anwer because of gmt+1 and so on.

Edit: I really want to use DDR4. Sry if something is a bit weird. First topic. ^-^ I usually don't use such stuff.

I really think a 5820 is overkill i would go for a 4960k and add graphic cards

Well yes it is but I wanna go for it because of DDR4(ik isn't that usefull) and my CPU is much better for future.

I guess If I buy this one I'm much faster outdated than with a DDR4 Supported CPU. I want to avoid it to get as fast outdated as with my rig I use now.

I'm looking forward to get me that stuff at Xmas and I already talked with my friend about the Intel CPU's. Well I guess it's more usefull to get the newest stuff now even if the price tag drops because in future I will upgrade anyway and I would may pay even more or the same. I think it is an for future based Intel CPU and with overclock it should be possible to use this 4years just by upgrading graphics.

Edit: Intel's price tag doesn't drop that fast until AMD did something usefull there or Intel makes new CPU's.

As you may see my old PC is pretty cheap(I would say) and If I really want to be badass I would get a 5830^^ I forgot to mention that I really want to have the DDR4 option because I missclicked by making this topic and wrote it again. Sry my mistake.

I actually thought that there is a better option for the mainboard or cooling. And does anyone know if that H100i even fits on the H1 on the inside?

Is Dragonarmor really that usefull? I had an Asus Mainboard(M5A99X R Evo 2.0) before and the audiocard on the mainboard had issues making weird noice by shutdown the PC.

Is my plan actually a good one?
