asus vg248qe problem

i have just bought a second monitor for gaming on i love my samsung series 9. but wanted one with higher refresh rate for gaming so got the asus  vg248qe love the monitor can really tell the difference a lot faster. now to the problem i am having i have tried duel link cable and display port can get it working fine at 120hz on most games but some are giving me red screen of death and if i set it to 144hz all games are crashing and pc reboots aim using 14.4 amd driver and msi 7950 can anyone help with this i have change refresh rate in windows 8.1 and amd ccc

Maybe you should try to update the drivers?
