Hi guys,

Thanks to this forum I recently decided to go with an IPS Monitor instead of the Asus ROG Swift since gaming isn't my primary concern.

I was going to go with the PB278Q but then I noticed that there is a revised version out here in Europe.

Now I'm asking if anyone has actually seen or even owns the new Asus PB278QR? If so, how good is it? Is it better than the PB278Q?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards,

IceExpress

From what I understand it is using an AH-IPS display instead of PLS, so better image quality, no more PWM, so it is even better for the image and color reproduction should be tighter all in all, but from what I know - the Monitor isn't coming out anywhere but Europe and is region locked, which sucks to all hell x.x  It's way better than the PB278Q spec's wise and maintains the  same 5ms response time, but 50% of people who get it seem to have dead pixels or stuck ones and the others have flawlessness.

Alright I just ordered a PB278QR from a local computer store and it should arrive towards the end of October. I hope I get a flawless one :)
