i'm looking at buying a corsair 650D, but the height of the case is 546mm and the room that I have under my desk is 550mm. This would mean that the air flow up is very little. Would amount of space would you think is best?

also anyone have good Cases if this one dose work out?

Thanks

For air flow, you don't really need too much. about 10 CM would be enough, as for 4mm, I don't know. That sounds like it might suffocate a little bit. Not sure what cases would work in that space.

I would recommend against putting an exhaust fan there but putting a few of them and switch them to intake might work just fine. Problem with intakes is the 650d has no fanfilter in the top (correct me if I'm wrong or you put a custom one) and that will probably get some dust into your pc. Anyway I would say the most important thing to consider here is the rear fan, if you have sufficient room for airflow behind your case then you're good. Sure, it will run hotter (probably), maybe louder and last a few months less than it normally would have. :)

Otherwise take a look at the 650d smaller brother, the 450d. :)

650d/459d are both mid towers.

The 450d is much worse quality than 650d

That's not really the matter here, he wanted to buy a 650d so he's probably going for an ATX build anyway and Mid Tower cases are going to be the only ones he'll be looking at, unless he's interested in cube design cases. Suggesting all the cases he might like would be very time consuming, so I took a case which is smaller (494mm tall instead of 546mm) and similar to the one he liked. Also, I wouldn't say the 450d is much worse quality than the 650d and it includes a cool magnetic fan filter on top of the case too. :)

@turtleman: If you seek suggestions on other cases be more specific about what you're looking for, please. :)
