I just bought a new computer recently for around $550 specs are

CPU - AMD Athlon II X4 640 3.00GHZ

Graphics Card - GeFore GTX 750 TI

Memory - 4.00GB of RAM

1TB HDD
64GB SDD

and i been having some problems running ARMA3 on Around Medium settings and i wanted to know if My CPU is causing the FPS lag issue or is being caused by my Memory RAM since it is very low. also i am getting around 15-20 fps on arma3 and on dayz

Thank you.

Best way it to check your CPU and RAM usage when playing. Both DayZ and Arma are CPU heavy, so there's a fair chance it's that. If your CPU is at 100% or close when playing, it's probably that, if your RAM is at 100% then it's that.

So would ram really decrease FPS performance? my cpu only reaches around 40-50% and ram does reach to around 80-95%

Its your CPU and ram. What speed is your ram? What resolution? what board? Cooler?  maybe you can overclock it

And what are your FPS on med

Memory RAM -DRAM Frequency 803.2MHz

NB Frequency 2008.8MHz

Motherboard -  Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P

and not sure about PSU but i think it is around 420W-450W by coolmaster

and all on 1366X786

So good news. You have a nice AM3+ board. is there two sticks of ram? So its running at 1600 in  Dual Channel. Or is it one stick.

With the AM3+ board it supports the Phenom II so you could upgrade the CPU. But first step would be to run some benchmarks to see where its preforming

Use Unigine Heaven 4.0 benchmark and set it to Ultra quality, 8X Anti- Aliasing 1920x1080 +Extreme tessellation .

And post tour score. It should be around 600

Hey I have a question for you. Do you play WOW. I have a customer that wants a PC for wow. I was going to go with the G3258 and a GTX 750. Can you play on Ultra? Okay?

I can play ultra on most games just not the Arma Engine i guess, and i never played wow before

Ill probably be upgrading my RAM in the next day or so any suggestions on a cheapest set of 8GB of Ram?

8gb kits are usually around 80$ like this one for example http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmz8gx3m2a1600c9b

but why not just add 4gb to the ones you already have.

Core i7 4820K  |  NH-D14 | Rampage IV Extreme | Asus R9 280X DC2T | 8GB G.Skill TridentX | 120GB Samsung 840 | NZXT H440  |  Be quiet! Dark Power Pro 10 650W

Arma is a poorly optimized game and doesn't even run well on high end rigs. Your CPU is pretty dated too..

Main: i7 2600 | ASUS P8Z68-V | 2x4GB Vengeance 1600 | GTX 580 | WD Blue 1TB | Antec TP-650C | NH U12S | W7 x64

Backup: X6 1090T | MSI K9A2 Platinum | 4x2GB XMS2 800 | GTX 550Ti | WD Blue 1TB |  Antec VP-450 | CM TX3 | W7 x64
