  I have had some bad experiences with WD drives being DOA so I would recommend a Seagate 7200rpm 1Tb harddrive.  Also not quite sure about the corsair vengeance pro RAM DIMMs, gskill and normal corsair vengeance DIMMs are a better bang for the buck IMO.  Also might suggest a 970 over the R9 290 since it delivers better overall performance, but if the games you play use AMD technologies, then the R9 is a not a bad option.  Build looks rather solid for a first build though. :)

Looks good to me. Maybe add a SSD in there and if you can spare an additional 30$ or so you should take a look at the GTX 970 - its a bit faster than the R9 290 in most games, uses less power, and overclocks very nicely.

Whoops wrong build I tweaked it a little let me fix it.

Also don't really see the point of getting a fully-modular power supply.  CXM 750w is a great alternative IMO
