Windows Activation After Reinstall

So i recently got a new ssd, and i didn't want any problems that i heard of cloning a disk, so i opted for a complete reinstall of windows. I didn't had the product key (someone made my pc for me and kept the windows cd key) so i downloaded magical jelly bean key finder. But now windows tells me my key is invalid. what should i do?

you have to contact microsoft for them to deactivate your license first

microsoft should be able to deactivate your key.

 

to get your product key info you can open CMD and type "slmgr.vbs -dli"

in the future i would recommend going into CMD and typing "slmgr.vbs -upk"  this will deactivate your key for future use

yes, just call MS from the activation screen telephone number. If all goes well, they'll ask you on how many pc's this license has been installed. Just answer with "1" and the activation will continue

Yeah you gotta buy one! if you don't have a key you dont have one? do you even have a holographic disc? if you have one of those YOU might / MIGHT be able to phone Microsoft and explain that you melted / destroyed your licence sticker

My pc is custom build and the person that builded my pc kept the disc and key. But i still payed the 100 dollar for it so im not gonna rebuy anything. Btw its already activated
