Windows transferring from sold computer

If i have windows installed on my SSD, can i just plug it in a new computer and will have windows like it was in my old computer or will i have to reinstall windows?

I'd prefer not to reinstall windows as i have TONS of programs which i would have to reinstall.

try it. it may or may not work.,  if not you won't have a choice.

Windows is locked to the drive and motherboard, so unless you're getting the exact same motherboard again you'll have to re-install it.

Remove drivers first. Also deactivate the licence (it might untie it from the board).
