PS3 Blank Screen

Ok I know this is PC forum BUT I think it is monitor problem not the console... 
So I have PS3 Super Slim and Samsung SyncMaster S23A350H (VGA and HDMI) I am using it as a second monitor to my laptop (Lenovo G560e VGA connection) and I tough that I can use the HDMI port to connect the PS3 so far ok but when I connect the ps3 to hdmi (and of course hold till the second beep ) the monitor just blinks from shutdown black to turn on black (little lighter black) and thats it in the settings (of the monitor) menu > information it recognizes HDMI 67.7 kHZ 60Hz PP 1920x1080 (just like analog) but the screem is black... Even when I connect to tv (AV) and change to HDMI from the settings it is black again...

The monitor runs fine when connected HDMI to PC  (the same cable)..

When powering on the PS3 press and hold the power button untill you hear 2 beeps, this will allow you to reset its Gfx settings and show its display.

I think in the PS3 settings you need to select what output you want. Same case happened to me once and i had to select HDMI output for it to work.

Try a different monitor or tv. Or try AV cable

the monitor needs to be on the HDMI setting for this to work, you might need ot manual select HDMi then power on the PS3 or the monitor will just go back to the live feed of the PC
