Problems with Fraps

So today I went on to record some Bioshock gameplay, but I wasn't able to , because fraps after 4-5 seconds since the recording has started locks the framerate to exactly 6 fps (unplayable). I have been using the same settings on the same computer and hard drive (external 7200 rpm hdd) for months without any problems.I really don't know what is going on. Thanks for any help.

Okay, so the only think i can think of is that your fps recording is locked at 6 fps. Then again, you also said that you didn't change anything about the system... Just to be sure, you've checked all of your fraps settings, right?

Oops sorry for the late reply, I kinda forgot about this post. I don't really know what happened, because now it is just fine.. I found bandicam to be much better though, no lag + encoded output files...
