I need a good psu

Go to solution Solved by grimmjow660,

I recommend going down to an Asus Z97 AR motherboard, or any motherboard around that price, drop down to a coolermaster hyper 212 evo, and you should have money for a gtx 970.

And for psu, a 650w would be perfectly fine.

This will be my first build.

Components:

Maximus vii hero

I5 4690k

asus gtx 760 cull(or 770 if I could fit in my budget)

8gb vengence

H105

Which psu should I get

I'm probably off good with a 650w psu

But I think I should get a 750 one for some near future sli.

Not a lot is available where I live( like evga)

Also I need it to be modular.

Personally I was going for ax760 or x-750km3.

What do I do?

if this is a gaming pc,its built wrong

There is totaly nothing wrong with this system

Better just ansewr op´s question.

650W psu is basicly more then enough for a single gpu setup.

you could look into something like:

  1. Coolermaster VSM650

About gpu´s, im personaly not realy a fan of dual gpu setups to be honnest.

Offcourse in most todays games, it will be great

But there are also allot of games on which dual gpu´s not realy work that well.

And those games can be a pain in the ass.

I would say  grab a single more higherend gpu.

If you could afford a GTX970, then just grab it.

You could choose for a cheaper aircooler, instead of the H105, and sqeeze that money towards the GTX970. it will be worth any penny.

Corsair´s aio´s arent that great anyway. freaking loud stock fans, and i dont even going to talk about pump faillure missery's.

now do you see why its built wrong ? you just said it

expensive mobo, expensive cooler but only gtx 760.

but to answer OP question, a decent 650W psu can SLI gtx 760/770.

At the cooler, i do agree.

But the mobo is just quality.

offcourse you could go cheaper there aswell if you like.

But for decent overclocking, that mobo will be a good choice.
