I've updated my pc parts of my gaming pc build, if you have the time, leave some recommendations and leave a bit of feedback about my parts. Also, do you think I should get Windows 8 or Windows 7? If Windows 7, which one should I get? I'm betting my hands on the Home Premium 64-bit. Leave an answer if possible. Thanks in advance. My budget is again, 1000$. A little bit over 1000$ is okay as well.

I don't understand how that added up to over $1000 and I would suggest ditching the R9 260X in favour of a GTX 970 and to compensate for price difference, buy a cheaper motherboard. Also, who are you buying from?

For the windows 7 vs 8 dilemma it really depends you could sacrifice some frames and go with windows 7 for the better ui or you could get some more frames but have a more frustrating ui. In my opinion you should go with 7 even though 8 had a lot of system architecture improvements 7 is just a lot less frustrating to use for a power user.

Windows 8.1 64-bit makes the most sense. It will be supported longer than Windows 7 and new hardware will eventually stop having Windows 7 compatible drivers.

Without model numbers/names it is not possible to comment on the case, memory, or monitor.

An H97 motherboard is a better fit for a locked cpu.

You can get a less expensive ssd.

Put any savings into a better gpu.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

FX 8320/6300, a 270x, or if you manage to get it, 970. Also, at that price point i see no point in getting a ssd. You can always add that without a problem
