Hiya guys, so I've been having this intermittent problem where my 780 Ti fan speed goes 100%, my monitor goes off and the only way to stop it is by holding the power button down until the PC turns off.

I don't think it's overheating because I've never seen the temps go higher than 73 and also it happened in the middle of the night last night when my computer was idling (left it on to finish a download).

I've tried googling but I don't really know what to search, anything I do find doesn't seem like the same problem. I don't know if it's going to get worse, but it's happened twice in the past 24 hours and I'm worried...

As always, thanks for your help in advance :)

Not overclocked that I know of, yeah always download the latest drivers through GeForce Experience.

Scan your PC for eventual viruses that uses your GPU, umm idk what it is called something with coin >.>but mine friend had that kinda problem and it was virus that uses your GPU to its max to cause damage to it.
