LOGISYS Case Lights - Anyone tried them?

Go to solution Solved by ChaoticWeaponry,

I personally would just get a long strip of LED's and wire them myself. I've used logisys cold cathode lights before, but they're bulky and you have to find a place to put the inverter.

I use these LED's, and the length is good for many, many builds.

You can get them in green, blue, and red from what I've seen.

Hey all,

First, sorry if this is in the wrong spot, wasn't sure where to put it.

Iv been looking around for some red case lights to well, stick in my case. After trying the NZXT Hue and having the blue stop working within minutes of installing i'v decided to try something more simple, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these guys: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=11-994-017&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo. I was planning on getting some BitFenix Alchemy strips, but was hoping to save on cost while getting a decent glow going. Can't seem to find much on the Logisys' besides the little thumbnails. Opinions on either would be appreciated greatly.

I have also tried the NZXT Hue, and I had the same problem with the broken blue LEDs. I wish there were more light controllers that could fit in your 3.5" bays :/

I have a Logisys LED stick: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812551002

Lights up my case like a champ.  Working fine for almost two years.  They're LEDs, so there are none of the issues that cathodes have.

The molex connector is cheap, but it's not a big deal.  (I ended up getting rid of the connector housing and plugging the pins right into the PSU connector hahaha.)
