Welcome to the forum.

If you want to upgrade, maybe the x79 platform or x99 platform from Intel.

Also upgrading your graphics card to Nvidia for better rendering times. A GTX 980 could a option.

I was literally freak out when I thought that the list you are giving here is the one that you are going to buy...

Anyway, what's your budget? If we dont care about it, I guess the obvious upgrade would be the CPU, to an i7 4790k at the very least, and depend on how heavy your workload are, maybe an i7 5960k if you really need it. Ofc the mobo need to be change, so to a Z97 or X99 depend on your choice of CPU

Next upgrade would be GPU, either a GTX 970 or 980 depend on your budget... I doubt that either of them alone could drive 3 1080p monitor though... so you will need to go at least 2 ways SLI if you want to play on ultra those game like BF4 or Crysis at 60 fps or more. Game like LOL dont require much graphic card power though, so if you only play games that require graphic card power at LOL lv then you may not even need to change GPU.

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log

The 980 will get better with driver updates so id go with that. You may want to wait til aftermarket coolers and non reference pcbs come out. For a better look and higher overclocking potential.

From what ive read so far that 5960x would overkill and handle any thing is throw at it but i was looking at the 4790k or 5930k or 5820k  depending to motherboard platform i go with. also im a ill confused on that the 980 cant drive 3 1080p monitor my 6970 dives all 3 - fyi i dont game on all 3 i only game on my middle one the other two are used for with im working in revit with muti views open or working in 3d views

Like I said, depend on your workload, choose the CPU that suit you the most :P CPU should be the deciding factor, not Mobo, since mobo now aday are quire similar to each other in feature outside of the chipset's feature.

And what do you mean the 980 cant drive 3 monitors? I think you misunderstanding what I said there :P I mean on high demanding games, for example BF4, on all 3 monitor, a single 980 will not be able to get 60fps+ on ultra setting. But if you only game on 1 monitor then you are fine, the 980 should destroy any game you throw at it :D Or if you want even more, get 2 970, it's about 100$ higher than 1 980 but perform hell alot better if the game support SLI. And like I said, if you only play games like LOL, which isnt very high demanding, then a GPU undate may not even be needed.

the only reason im look to upgrade the gpu is for revit the 6970 i have have a hard time with revit but i do have a station at work with qk 4000 in it and i handles 3d so much better. but sadly i wont be able to keep useing it since ima be home bound soon

oh :( too bad... the 980 will help you alot compare to a 6970, but in work it wont be as good as a QK 4000 for sure.

so the 980< the qk4000?

Ofcourse. Quardo K4000 is a workstation GPU. It CANT play game but will do rendering job beautifully. 980 is a consumer grade GPU, it play game very well and can perform some rendering, but will be no where near as good as a QK4000 in rendering job for sure.

The GTX Titan Black, but that one cost around 1000$... It will perform about the same as a GTX 970 or 780 in gaming, while serve well as a entry lv workstation grade GPU. Given the price of the K4000... I'm not sure how the Titan perform compare to a K4000 in rendering job, from what I read it should be about the same.
