post error 5d

I'm in need of help I have an Asrock 970 extreme 4 motherboard with an FX 8120 I was overclocking it when during stress testing it shut itself down now when I try to reboot it my motherboard give me the error code 5d. It will not post it will not boot at all please help.

I've tried clearing CMOS I have tried switching out RAM I've tried switching out graphics card nothing works.

Do you have a way of swapping your CPU with another to test ?

this is what i would try,   try booting with only 1 ram stick.

.if that doesn't work

 

try moving your video card to a different PCIE x16 slot

 

can you get into the bios. if you can change back to stock setting. ( no  overclocking  )

if you can not get into bios.try  pulling ram and video card and see if board will do anything.

if still no. try pulling the motherboard battery.

I can not get anything to happen. I have tried removing 1 stick of ream switching ram and swapping gpu, nothing did anything.  I contacted the ASRock and they didn't know what the code meant either, but luckily it is still in warranty so I an RMAing it.

I had the same trouble as you had. But mine has been out of warranty, so can you tell me how the ASRock  mended your motherboard.
