It'll have a better cooler, and will overclock more than a stock one.

Sorry I was unclear, I mean more specifically the 980 in which case the both have the reference cooler as of now.

Oh, then it's most likely just overclocked a bit more. It might be a binned GPU for better overclocking, I'm not sure though.

It is not a binned GPU. No superclocked has ever been binned really. They run at the rated speeds.
