mm Fans?

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

Most cases support 120mm and 140mm fans these days.

Usually, on the manufacturer's website, or on the case's box, you can see all the fan spots and the fan sizes that fit.

You can check out this video to understand this a little bit better:

Ok, I was browsing pcpartpicker, and then this hit me.

Do cases have an standard on mm fans? (If so what are they?) Like, must the higher ones be 120mm? or more? What are the standards or the case must tell you which sizes it uses? I'm kinda confused.

What like what sizes are there as there are 80mm, 100mm, 120mm, 140mm, 200mm, 230mm

There isn't a "standard" as such, more a recognised size for fans that case and fan manufacturers agree to. The most common sizes are 80mm, 92mm, 120mm, 140mm and 180mm.

Case manufacturers will state on the product page what size fans it will support and where they are in the case.

Will all cases work with all of them?

No look at the manufacters website like mine has:

Front Fan: 120mm*1pcs [pre-installed] ; 2pcs [option] Rear Fan: 120mm*1pcs [pre-installed] Top Fan: 140mm*2 or 240mm radiator [option] Bottom Fan: 120mm*1 [option]

Left and right side Fan: 120mm*2 or 140mm*2 [option]

Which means the front and back support 120mm and the top and side panel support 140mm
