I checked the bios and I can't find an auto OC option, can you help?

You hit OC Tweaker and then choose optimized cpu oc.

I just finished building my friend's PC.  Everything is working ok and games run great on the system but CPU based tasks lag because the CPU is running at reference clock speed.  I want to get into overclocking, but I don't really know where to start.  Can someone give me some insight?  Thanks ^_^

For a beginner I would suggest to just use the auto oc in bios. So you won't put anything at risk.

Bye LTT. That was an interesting journey on this board. At least here you see how not to do it. I'll go shaking my head about this place.

Why do you need all of those fans when you already have Liquid Cooling?

We replaced the fans that came with the case and the ones on the water cooler, thats why

Start with 4.0 then do stresstest and retry higher. I wouldn't go over 4,4.

It's the same bios as in the picture

Nope, I still can't find the auto OC feature.  My bios looks a lot like the one in the video, but I doesn't have those features.  Should I try updating the BIOS and if I should how would I update the BIOS?  Thanks for all the help BTW

For reference I got 4.5ghz stable on stock cooler on 1.27v.

Don't forget to disable "adaptive" voltage, Intel speedstep...etc.

Used fixed ratio for the stability test...etc.

I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

Yes try that. Auto oc for 3258 is only supported in their latest bios from what I see http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97E-ITXac/?cat=Download&os=BIOS

Cool I got my processor to 4.2 ghz stable at 61 degrees Celsius under full load in intel XTU :)  thanks again
