So I come from using one of the older Razer Death Adders (blue lighting effect one. I think it is a 2012 model). The sensor is old and I really just need a new mouse. So I saw Linus review the Logitech G502 and it seemed pretty positive so I thought to get that. What mouse is Linus recommending/the members of this great forum?

Did you really like the Death Adder? If so, get another. Don't switch just because you think the grass may be greener.

Having said that, I'm using a G502 right now and they really are good. I prefer it to the Razer, but then you may not.

Can you try it out before you buy?

I'm ordering it from Amazon. The DeathAdder sensor has problems jumping around sometimes and my thumb likes to hit my mouse pad. The G502 looks like it will fix that problem plus the better sensor will fix the jumping.

Yeah, the G502 has a neat little thumb-rest. "Jumping" can be caused by the mousepad having an effect on the read. Did you try switching it out?

The only place I know in California is the Micro Center in Tustin, but there's also a Fry's in San Diego - I've just never been there. Fry's do stock the G502.

*edit* I checked the Fry's website and your local store has the G502 in stock. You could call them and ask if they have a display model you could try.

Also, Best Buy is stocking both the G502 & G402 in store.
