Still running a single HDD for the OS and all other stuff. I'm saving up for a high capacity SSD so don't bash me.

Is a 50GB partition enough for Win 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 and that pagefile thing?

Enough for the OS, yes... Enough for the OS, your files, and your programs, probably not...

I'd say 80GB minimum...

Its for the OS only. Files go to the other partition.

Also, where does that pagefile go? Does it go in the partition where the OS is?

Pagefile goes to the drive where the OS is by default... You can change that in Windows after installation though...

On an 8GB of Ram machine, Pagefile and Hibernation each use that amount too by default.

.....Once you minimize the pagefile usage (set minimum to 1GB not 8GB) and remove the hibernation file (hiberfile.sys size = ram amount)

You can usually save 15GB there alone.

I have Windows 7 on a 60GB SSD on my laptop.

24GB free after programs,.. Cad, Photoshop, Ninite apps and even some really lightweight laptop games whatnot are installed in its finalized state. If I had left the pagefile and hibernation as defaulted setups, I'd have 9GB free.

Can be managed easily, it's not as bad as everyone thinks.. just they wouldn't want it themselves.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
