Computer crashes game then no screen input.

panda10143

Hey everyone I recently built myself a pc and every time I play a game the game crashes and the screen goes black I then get a wurring noise through my headset and the computer then needs to be reset. I have all the lastest drivers and a 600w psu powering my asus gtx 660ti. Thanks.

Check temperatures of your CPU and graphic card to make sure nothing is overheating, as you play a game.

When you run Furmark for a while, what is your GPU temperature? If your computer crashes, what is was the last temperature reading you did?

What brand  of PSU..? What CPU.? (Intel or AMD)

There is a BIOS update for that GPU on ASUS webpage..but it would be better if you could provide more info on when the system fails before you try that.

What is the OS?

How about when you return to the OS after the restart..are there any recovery flags..does it know it was forced to restart.?

What game(s) is this happening with..and has it done this with anything else.?

Your best effort is the easiest thing to give to someone else..
