Is there a way to get a custom motherboard? Because I need this motherboard; ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157520&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= ) to have the PCIe 3.0 x16 on the verey bottom and move the PCIe 2.0 x16 (running at x4) to move up one. Might be a noob question, but my one friend said he called Asus (i think) and asked them for a specific motherboard but to change the usb 2.0 to 3.0 and they did it, not sure if I should trust him though, lol.

Well, you can spend $130 on this mobo, remove ports, weld it again in the position you want, and.. wow! What a surprise! It doesn't work.

Don't do it. Please.

Edit: Asus customer service have really bad reviews, simply get any other manufacturer and maybe in support they can help you. Or maybe not.

I'm not saying me do it, the company. I want the two PCIe x16 Ports on the bottom flip flopped. so the 2.0 isn't on the very bottom.

If you're planning this move to go 3-way sli, you may already forget that idea. You can't do 3 way sli because no cpu has enough PCIE lanes to feed 3 graphics cards. If you want 3 graphics cards, you need to go X79/X99

No, I want two way SLI with a capture card in the middle. So I'll use the very top and very bottom PCIe x16 slots for the GPU's and the middle PCIe x16 slot for the Capture card.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3YtFCJ Here's my build so far, I don't want to go full ATX, I move around too much and don't feel like carrying a huge case everywhere.

custom mobos would be an amazing idea. I hear the NSA bugs all sorts of chips nowadays and something like that might thwart it... just a thought.

Seriously though, that would be great. Pick your socket, ram config, PCI config... shiiiiiiit.

to answer your question though, my mother worked with PCBs and things in the Army from 93 to 2001, and she says that the modern PCB market nowadays pretty much makes things like that impossible lol. so yeah, unfortunately you'll have to find a different board :/

Yeah, already found one, but it's Z87... I wish it was Z97 but whatever.
