Hi Guys,

I was looking into purchasing a Corsair 500r Case to house my H100i for CPU and Strix GTX 970 on (ATX) build. Reason I liked the case was because it comes with 4 fans! Especially the side fan which would help add extra air flow and cool the GPU. However, I got to thinking,

1. Proprietary Fan Connectors

2. No side dust filter for the 200mm intake fan.

For those 2 reasons I am starting to lean away from purchasing this case.

I was hoping if you guys could give me some advise on better cases and/or any fixes to the issues above out their that would serve my purpose. If I could at least deal with the side dust filter it would be great since I value air flow the most but don't want to compromise my system with dust.

Thanks,

P.S. - I prefer mid tower since I plan to do Dual GPUs at most in the future. Not looking for a Quad Sli set up or crazy amounts of radiators/fans. As such, I figured full tower cases was not necessary.

Not bad, not bad

Have you bought everything for it?

What is the use of this build?

Well I was going to buy everything as soon as possible but being new to Pc Building, wasn't expecting the crazy shortages of GTX 970. I am planning on ordering everything at once hopefully as soon as the Strix 970 becomes available. Either that or start ordering items starting tomorrow and buy the Strix 970 once it becomes available. Just have to use 4790k's integrated graphics till then :P

@Pugs501 - Nice supernatural gif! Can't wait for the show to start back up haha.

I plan to use the build for gaming obviously, other than that - I plan do some streaming (occasional), work with some video renderings/photoshop applications, occasional server hosting for game servers which requires usage of VMware, SQL Server, etc etc. Hence why I decided to up the RAM to 16 gigs and go with an i7 rather than i5.
