So I've been running 2560x1440 at 120Hz on my 144Hz BenQ for some time now and it's quite nice in games, I upgraded the Nvidia drivers from 340.52 to the newer 344.11 and for some reason it wont let me do 2560x1440 at 120 hz, But 115 Hz works fine.

I tried the older driver again and 120Hz wasn't a problem, So my question is this, What would be the one thing stopping it ? Newer driver branch, Code etc... ? Genuinely interested if anyone knows these types of things :)

Since the driver isnt open source no one can know other than nvidia.

5HZ is no difference at all for anything to be honest. If you need the new drivers for the upcoming games use that at @115HZ, else keep using the old driver.Maybe the next driver revision will make it work again who knows.
