Hey . I am planning upgrade from socet 1155 ( I7 3770K 3.5 ) to socket 2011-3 . But i have a question about ram.

Because now i have that rams working with Asus Sabertooth Z77 and I7 3770K .

Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 2x4GB 1600MHz, DDR3, CL(9-9-9-24), XMP White (CML8GX3M2A1600C9W)

That ram will be compatible with mobo from socket 2011-3 ?I am asking because my ram is DDR3.

You'll need DDR4 ram for 2011-3 if that's what your'e asking :S

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

You need DDR4 ram not ddr3

Socket 1155 uses ddr3 ram while socket 2011-3 uses ddr4 ram. They are non- exchangeable.

So you will need to buy a DDR4 kit

if you want to take advantage of the 2011-3 socket and you have a lot of money to spare gi with quad channel ram, but you wont see much of an improvement

I am planning upgrade from platform socket 1155 ( now i have 3770K ). But which platform and cpu will be better for games? ( socket 1150 I7 4790K vs socket 2011 I7 5820k ) ?

AFAIK there won't be much of a difference in games between the two platforms

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

1150 is actually a bit better right now, b/c you can get a little higher clock speeds.

BUT, neither is a worthy upgrade from a 3770K. Gaming performance increases are NEGLIGIBLE, Just overclock your 3770k.

Aesthetics of rigs matter

Ok another question<hehe>. Actually i have that rams working on pc:

http://www.morele.net/pamiec-corsair-vengeance-low-profile-2x4gb-1600mhz-ddr3-cl-9-9-9-24-xmp-white-cml8gx3m2a1600c9w-419635/

They will be compatible with socket 1150 ( Asus sabertooth Z87 ) + I7 4790K?
Now they are working with my actually Asus Sabertooth Z77 and I7 3770K.

There won't be much diffrence in games, unless you are running high end sli/crossfire setup

Yes, it will work that, but if you can, get a Z97 motherboard

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

Why Z97? What differences between Z87:)?

On Z97 there's better power delivery on the motherboards, so it will likely yield better OC results :) Apart from that there's not many differences though :S

Thank you guys for all replies. So in next 3 weeks i will upgrade to socket 1150 and I7 4790K :) Cheers from Poland

Take a look what i found:

Here is 10 fps difference between 3770k and 4790k. Is this trustful test?

Why on that test site there is almost 10fps difference between 3770k and 4790k in games.

That's because they are just checking out the ONBOARD graphics.

If I remember right, then Luke/Slick is still using a 2600k. Which is older than your 3770k, but both are still a beast of a CPU for modern games.

They used GtxTitan on both cpu's. And there is almost 10 fps differences between 3770k and 4790k. For me its big difference.

Finally , I am planning to buy I7 4790K and to not oc. Can i use with that cpu cooling from box? Its not any danger to damage cpu ? I read some reviews that stock cooling from cpu box are very bad.

dont evben upgrade.. your i7 is like 5% worse than the 4790k... unless you absolutely need m.2 or satae

Yes but looking at that review there is almost 10 fps differences between stock 4790K vs stock 3770k.

There really isn't that much of a difference. The 3770k is even to this day a great chip.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/8227/devils-canyon-review-intel-core-i7-4790k-and-i5-4690k

The only reason you would have to upgrade to a 4790k would be if you wanted the Z97 features that comes with that chipset. M.2, Sata-E, and stuff like that. If you want to better use your money for increased performance, use the money you have on a second GPU. Or one that's better than the one you have.
