Arma 3 Not Performing

Hey LinusTech Community,

I've been looking around for a solution to Arma 3 running poorly even on good systems and haven't managed to find a good solution. Basically, I tried running a custom game of Arma 3 where I placed a huge amount of vehicles in one spot and mortared them to see how my frame rate would hold out. It sat around 20 fps average even before firing the mortar. The interesting thing was, none of my hardware was being used to its full potential. My GPU's were both <40%, CPU <65% and ram <1.6GB.

OS: Windows 8.1 64bit

CPU: Intel 4670k @3.8GHz (stock)

GPU: Geforce GTX780 SLI

RAM: 8GB DDR3

HDD: WD Black 1TB

I changed the settings in the launcher to suit my system specs but still couldn't find the solution so I then spent a while reading forums which all came to no solid answer.

I would REALLY appreciate a solution so I can actually use my hardware to its full potential in this game and I apologise if this gets asked frequently I couldn't find a solution myself!

You need Mantle or DX12

And i don't mean to be difficult but why would i need mantle or Dx12?

It's a poorly optimized game, throwing SLI at the picture won't help with that.
