have you checked that your firewall isn't blocking any outgoing applications?

Also when was the last time that you did a virus check, and or male-ware check?

you should try running a few programs to see if you can pinpoint the problem

http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm <- will check that your winsock in widows is working and does not have any bogus entries

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-service-scanner/ <- Select internet services and make sure that they are all active

*I'm not responsible for you breaking or other wise any action you take. with that said ask before you delete!

Please Quote so i know you have replied. | If we have provided a solution to your problem mark it with answer found.

And also please read the COC and avoid the embarrassment and lecture that will ensue.

  • Hold the Windows Key + R. This opens the "Run" window.
  • Type "firewall.cpl" (no quotes) and hit Enter
  • On the left hand side click on "Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall"
  • Check to see if any of your browsers on listed there

You can also try turn off your firewall to see if that helps. Also when  you open a browser does it mention anything about proxy servers? If so, try this:

  • From the Start Menu type "Internet Options" (again, no quotes).
  • Click on the "Connections" tab
  • Click "LAN Settings"
  • Make sure nothing is checked under Proxy server

If you're using anti-virus software you may want to uninstall it to see if that resolves your issue. Usually reinstalling the software resolves the issue.
