I currently have a Samsung Evo 120GB SSD

Im wanted to get another 120GB but was wondering what would be better performance if any?

Obviously it would be cheaper to add a 120GB but if it will cause problems or anything then id upgrade to a bigger one.

So i either buy another 120GB and have 2 SSD's

Or sell the one i have and buy the 250GB version?

I'd just by another and have them both as one partition volume.

And if that's not possible than it might be more worthwhile to sell your current one and buy a 250GB model.

Just found out that it is possible to have two drives as one volume in your system.

up running two ssd in raid 0 increases speed as half the data is wrote to each drive. I won't say "double" as mile varies but yeah it's double the speed lol

I dont mind having them as two separate drive's the questions is will having them as two separate drive cause any problems or bottle necks or anything? Will the performance of having two separate SSD's be the same as having one bigger one?

I would have 120GB SSD with OS and all my programs

Extra 120GB SSD for my games

2TB green drive

Or

as i said if you ran the two drives in raid 0 you would essentially double r/w speeds.

Well I'm actually not sure if I'm talking about RAID, rather just spanning a volume across two drives.

I have minimal knowledge about RAID configurations.

In windows you can change the volume to dynamic and then you can make one big volume however you can't change the boot drive so you wouldn't be able to make the boot drive + second drive one volume without raid.

Hmmm, well then I have no idea :P

I fairly sure there is a RAID type that is just combining the two drives as one volume/partition, with the same performance, speed, and reliability (AFAIK).
