About an hour ago, I got the notice from Geforce Experience that a new graphics driver (driver 344.11 to be exact) was available to download for my Geforce GTX 760.  Around the same time, Geforce Experience itself had an update available (version 2.1.2).  I installed the new version of Geforce Experience and then proceeded to start the download for the graphics driver. Almost simultaneously, everything started to visually lag, like when you mouse over something and it taking a second to show up as being moused over.

On a somewhat different note, I have been noticing that my cpu ( Intel i5 4670k) wasn't staying at the overclock of 4.2 Ghz.  For some reason it is fluctuating anywhere between 800 Mhz and 4.2 Ghz.

Restarting hasn't seemed to help at all.

What do you guys think is wrong and what do you think i should do?

PC specs:

OriginPC's Millennium branded computer (In hindsight I should have just built it myself, would have saved a fortune)

Case: Corsair 350D

CPU: Intel i5 4670k (should be OC'd to 4.2 Ghz)

CPU cooler: OriginPC's 120 closed loop liquid cooler (just a Corsair H60 with OriginPC's logo instead of Corsair's)

Motherboard: ASUS Z87 Gryphon

GPU: EVGA nVidia Geforce GTX 760 SC w/ dual bios (slight overclock after the factory overclock)

PSU: Corsair TX650M semi modular power supply

OS drive: Samsung 840 EVO 120Gb ssd (wish I had a larger capacity)

HDD: WD Green 2Tb hard drive w/ Intellipower variable rpm (would rather have a WD Black but whatever)

Optical drive: an ASUS 24x optical drive

Media card reader: a Rosewill 40 in 1 media card reader

Any help is greatly appreciated!

i had this problem on my last gaming pc, i assumed it was just getting old and there was a ram or cpu issue since i replaced the graphics card and still had the issue, the only fix i found was continually restarting my pc until the issue went away (normally about 5-6 times for me)

WARNING

some games are also slowed down and seem to run at half speed which rendered them unplayable  :(
