Can't you get a 990FX board for that?

@DigitalHermit what would the benefit be to switching boards? What is the difference between the 990fx and 970?

 

Better overclocking potential, better VRM, updated feature set...

 

That's about all I can tell you...

 

The 970 is outdated by now...
