No. What WILL kill the headphone is if you feed them more than the maximum power they can take, which is not measured in ohms.

However, you're confused. I suspect that your amp claims to drive HEADPHONES with impedance of 20-300 ohms. I doubt highly that your amp itself has an output impedance that high.

This is why I am sick of soundcard manufacturers and certain YouTubers harping on impedance all the time. It is only one of the factors involved in driving a headphone.

https://www.massdrop.com/buy/bravo-v2-headphone-amp This is a massdrop link but just look at the tech specs of the amp

Well  I cant read its 20-600 apparently

What SSL said. The 'real' output impedance value of an amp should be 1 fixed number, like 1ohm, or 10ohms, or something (not a number range, like stated). Plus, if you look at the paragraph directly above the specs, there's a sentence, 'The V2 supports output impedances between 20 and 600 Ohms...'

Most likely what they meant is 'it can be used to drive headphones from 20ohms up to 600ohms', while again, this is misleading in the first place. I'd be very surprised if that tiny thing can drive a 50ohms HE-6 properly.....

Edit: it does look somewhat 'cool', with the acrylic shield, and the tube, and all the insides showing. Considering the price, if you like the looks of it, maybe just get one. Just don't expect too much out of it.

The product from Bravo that got pretty good review is the Bravo Ocean. Too bad it's also twice the price of the V2. You can request massdrop to sell the Ocean in a group buy. Just type it in the search box.
