So this might sound a little bizarre, but I happen to have an extra i7-3770K kicking around, and I'm thinking of potentially making it into a sweet LAN rig. The only reason I'm thinking of this is because my current desktop workstation is pretty beefy so I'm trying to find alternative uses for it. What do you guys think about starting off with something like a Bitfenix Prodigy or a Fractal Design Node 304 for the case and a Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe mITX board to go with it. Beyond that I haven't really decided what to use for the rest of the build, and thats why I'm turning to the forums! Let me know what you think would be pretty sweet, and if the build happens I'll definitely make sure to post it!

There's quite a few serious Bitfenix Prodigy builds floating around on the forums that you may want to have a look at as well as Linus did one recently too involving a H100i and either a 3570k or 3770k.

Personally I'd do something that motherboard, a 120 or 256 Samsung 840Pro, MSI 670 PE, a h100 and 8gb of corsair vengeance and call it a day. Because it's a LAN rig you don't really need tones of storage..
