Seidon V120m

What do you guys think of the Cooler Master Seidon v120,

I need a new 120 cpu cooler but I dont really want to spend over 60-70 and as far as review go nobody thinks there teribble,

Got any suggestions or opinions in this price range?

Here's my recommendation for 120mm AiO radiators. Don't. They're unimpressive by todays standards, while still having pump noise and more points of failure than an air cooler. A Hyper 212 is cheaper, more reliable, and quieter than an H60.

For $70CAD or less you could get an NH-U12S, NH-L12, or Dark Rock 3, judged by PCPP.

Get the Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3, it's $60 right now on NCIX! It's a steal!! Go buy one.

I also have to agree with the others.  Unless you have a very small form factor case and your only option is a 120mm radiator, I would avoid them.  They are like a job half-done.  They don't perform very well compared to their air tower heatsink counter parts, and they are more expensive.

One thing I'd like to point out, with those tower heatsinks, access to RAM may be restricted. I had a Hyper 412Slim on my FX8350 and while it did a decent job of cooling the cpu, I found that it trapped or blocked at least one RAM stick closest to it. If I want to change the RAM for any reason, it entails the removal of the heatsink as well...a bit of a hassle to say the least. With the Seidon, access to my RAM is totally unrestricted. Just something to consider...

Not pushing the Seidon, but merely demonstrating how using an AIO helps alleviate this RAM restriction issue. 

 

Below is a pic of my second rig when I had the CM Hyper412 installed, note that the RAM closest to the heatsink is effectively blocked by the fins on the Hyper 412. There was no way I could remove the first RAM closest to the heatsink w/o removing the heatsink itself....no bloody way!

This is after I'd had the Seidon installed, note how clean everything looks, and best of all, unobstructed access to the RAM...
