Hi. I've been looking at some old laptops to use for running Linux distros off of. The two I am looking at are both IBM Lenovos, the X61S and the T410. The T410 is more expensive but has a bigger screen, DDR3 over DDR2 and an i5 520M over a Core 2 Duo. I will probably be putting an SSD in whichever one as well as upgrading the RAM. The distros I'm looking at are Ubuntu, Mint Debian, Debian, Fedora, Arch Linux, Gentoo and some pentesting distros like Kali, Blackbuntu and Backbox. This is basically just for mucking around in Linux after trying in a VM and taking on trips to friends houses. The X61S is priced at $100 and the T410 at $190. Thanks.
