I am in the market for a 3D printer. I need recomendations on what to buy with my budget. I have $900. NO MORE than that can be spent on the 3D printer. This includes the shipping cost, and maybe a spool or two if the printer doesn't come with some already. Another requirement is that I would like it to recive it ASAP, so please don't recomend a kickstarter project. Thanks(:

3D printers are costly as heck. I wouldn't expect much from them.

I'm looking around now. how big do you need it to be?

I don't know how good 3D printers are for consumers it might be better to go through a company unless you need one for MANY MANY things

Yes Yes Legalize Gay Marriage sure, but have you ever considered Weaponizing Gay?

Well I would want it to be able to print as big as possible. I just ran into some money and I've always wanted one so I figured that this is a good opertunity to buy one

If you don't need it for work, and just as a toy I would honestly wait. There are better products coming in awhile and wait for the technology to mature a little bit more. If you can't do that I'd look around and spend a bit more for a company with a good ecosystem like makerbot before investing into a 3D printer.

well, for quality you want the printer that prints in .25 micron layers or better .1 micron otherwise the quality isn't the best out there. Maybe check something from Cubify? I haven't kept up to date with 3D printers since March unfortunately, but I know quite a bit because we were going to sell them before my boss sold the company.
