Hi guys.
I just upgraded my pc and everything is great. New ssd, new ram, haswell cpu, everything rocks, but i don't know if my psu is ready for change. I have fortron 500w hexa, 80+.

I would highly recommend looking up in google which brands are supported for the haswell range of cpu's, I don't believe your fortron 500w 80+XXX is a supported psu.

FSP lists it as Haswell compatible. But it isn't a great unit based on reviews. It'll do the trick, but I'd recommend an upgrade.

 

I don't have a list of recommended power supplies like I do fans, but take any recommendations you get, or find in other threads and check the reviews. JonnyGuru.com is a great site for PSU reviews, read pages 1, 4 & 5. The stuff in the middle is the confusing stuff.
