Open Broadcaster is a good option.

So I would like to record some gameplay and have a webcam focused on myself at the same time. The end result would get me a video file with the gameplay and the recorded webcam feed in one of the corners of the screen.

Open Broadcaster is a good option. 

 

As one single video file? OBS is cheapest (free), XSplit is the another common one.
