Hello, it's me again, I've recently asked for help as I want to build a decent gaming system, but....

Now we have X99 motherboards, DDR4, and the new Intel processors, so I want you to help me choose.

 This is my planned list:

pcpartpicker.com/user/Henvertek/saved/d8ytt6

CPU Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core $339.94

CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U14S 55.0 CFM $69.98

Motherboard Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 $205.98

Memory Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 $229.99

Storage Samsung 850 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" SSD $198.86////Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $78.23

Video Card Asus GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB DirectCU II $529.55

Power Supply EVGA 850W ATX12V / EPS12V

$99.99

Total:  $1752.52

Now I'd like you people to answer these questions:

Will this build be amazing? (Will it play Crysis 3, Alien Rage, Thief, Batman, Saints Row IV, Minesweeper, etc. at 60 FPS or more in ULTRA?)

Will your suggested build be amazing?

Will I regret something with this build?

Will I regret something with your suggested build?

What are the Pros and Cons about both options?

Notes:

My budget is around $2200

With "your suggested build" I mean either a totally different build (not worse please) or this one with some changes.

I think that's it. Have a nice day!

P.S: The title was "I need orientation for a hardcore gaming build"

1. Should be around there.

2. I have not suggest a build

3. Probably not.

4. What options? If you mean whether to stick with z97 or go with x99, then stay with z97, I wouldn't bother with x99 until prices come way down.

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

Put your build in a nice case and you should be quite happy. You could spend less for similar performance, but that doesn't seem to be something you would regret.

Not knowing what resolution you will be playing at it is not possible to asses how good the performance will be.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Probably 1080p or more... I'm sure I won't use 4K

By the way is there any "weak point" like something which isn't going to be good enough? (Playing at 1080 or 1440) for example the motherboard or GPU. Is something going to disappoint me?

No. It is a good system and should provide years of enjoyment.

Although computer systems are similar to other possessions. As one becomes familiar with them, one begins to see greener grass elsewhere.
