So the question is should i go for mechanical switches? or not? and if so whitch type ..

I do like the feeling of the g15 when pushing down the keys. and the backlight is also a must have.

I just upgraded from a Logitech G510 to a Logitech G710+ and I must say I sceptical of whether the mechanical would be a good investment but so I find it much to type on and game. I didn't want any macro keys either but the single row on 710+ isn't all that bad nothing like the 3 rows on the g510 or g15.

keyboards are really personal items, it is something you have to look at everyday and enjoy using for multiple different tasks so I would advise that if you are serious about buying a new one you buy from somewhere that has a decent return policy.

I MISS MY LCD SCREEN  :(

A mechanical is a EXTREMELY good investment. (Just don't make my mistake and over invest). If you like the feel of the rubber dome keyboard, I recommend Cherry MX Clear. If no boards with clear switches interest you, go with browns. My recommendations for a clear switch are the WASD Code, any Ducky Shine board.

For a elegant looking brown Switch board, I recommend The CM Storm Quickfire Rapid - i. Max Keyboards Blackbird or Nighthawk, Corsair K70, or Ducky Shine.

Most Backlit Mech boards are centered around gamers, but these have a traditional design. (Except K70 which has a more industrial design)
