thanks, i learned some stuff, lol, but i still don't understand what it means in reference to a processor...

Don't worry about it. PCI-e 2.0 x8 is more than enough for any single GPU. It's the maximum pci-e lanes a CPU can deliver.

Per lane, in each direction:

  • v1.x: 250 MB/s (2.5 GT/s)
  • v2.x: 500 MB/s (5 GT/s)
  • v3.0: 985 MB/s (8 GT/s)
  • v4.0: 1969 MB/s (16 GT/s)

For a 16-lane slot, in each direction:

  • v1.x: 4 GB/s (40 GT/s)
  • v2.x: 8 GB/s (80 GT/s)
  • v3.0: 15.75 GB/s (128 GT/s)
  • v4.0: 31.51 GB/s (256 GT/s)

Main: i7 2600 | ASUS P8Z68-V | 2x4GB Vengeance 1600 | GTX 580 | WD Blue 1TB | Antec TP-650C | NH U12S | W7 x64

Backup: X6 1090T | MSI K9A2 Platinum | 4x2GB XMS2 800 | GTX 550Ti | WD Blue 1TB |  Antec VP-450 | CM TX3 | W7 x64

No they will not get "bottlenecked", just make sure your board supports crossfire.

What is your question, exactly? To know what PCI lanes/PCI-E lanes are or whether your system can or will be bottlenecked by a particular setup?
