Sick but School

Is it just me or when you are sick, do you man up and just head to school?

The missed work is hard to make up at my school as the teachers just think people are faking it.

But today when I was walking up the stairs of my house, I felt short of breath and collapsed in my room.

Am I pushing myself too hard and should I be resting?

Depends. If I have a temp of 103 and can barely walk I stay home and cut my loses. If it's under 100 then I man up and do what I have to do.

I'd only missed school a few times when i'm sick, the times i'd stay at home was when i was really sick(like having a fever, bad cough, runny noise). If it was a minor thing then i would head up to school.

You probably had low blood pressure. Happens to me sometimes. Eat something salty. Drink the necessary amount of water needed to be healthy.

I forgot to mention that I have had a fever/cold symptoms for the past 2 days.

Why would you go to school? Just play up the illness so you can chill at home for the day and play games

 

But if you can't miss a day, then you should go, but if I were your GP I'd be saying to rest up, that sounds a little serious. Maybe it's exhaustion.

Yes. Making up work is stressful and I usually never miss a day

As long as you aren't vomiting and you don't have diarrhea, you should be going to school/work. Suck it up, buttercup.

If I feel sick to my stomach, I don't go to school, but that barely ever happens. I haven't missed a day yet this year, or any days last year.
